I have A 32 inch Aopen curved and I am looking for a desk for gaming and my 3 days I work from home.

What kind of depth should I look for?

Most seem to be 23.6-24 inches but im thinking 26-29 inches but small form factor since I am renting.

ETA: There are smaller counter tops, I went with the 8'.  I have three monitors, my laptop dock and my tower all on the top.

I got a tresanti rising desk from costco. they have some similar at office depot. I can stand if I want to. its not got much storage though. just a flat top and a small drawer but its a decent size.

they do have other brands that have a extra shelf, motor or hand crank or both.   Some have headphone holder and storage.

I have a 34 or 36 inch widescreen on mine. if the base is huge would be a concern mine has long legs and made it not perfect. but it works well for me. holds a drink, and junk and monitor and mouse and keyboard just fine.  I did put a huge mouse pad. like  3ft one.

Having gone through at least 4 gaming desks in the last 15 years I have 2 recommendations:

1) If you need a single desk and have 1 machine (and at most 2 27" monitors) then go with an Arozzi-type desk where the entire topper is a mouse pad:

2) If like me you need a desk for daily work from home and then simply turn to be on your gaming PC then this (which has a decent stand-sit raiser via crank):

I'm using an Arozzi Arena right now, pretty happy with it.

I've been looking at this one. This manufacturer seems to have a good selection and the prices aren't bad.

If I was to do it over, I'd get one with a significant cutout in the front.

The one I have is a rectangle.  I mostly do flight sims, and my belly makes it hard to reach the flight controls.

Something like this...

I have an older IKEA desk frame that I put a new tabletop on for my current desk. My next one will probably be with the Alex drawers and a table/counter top from IKEA. There's a number of videos, etc. on how you can do that setup to your liking.

Install some stiffeners if you go that route.

I saw those and will prob use them or a single leg like some do. I mount my monitors to the wall usually as the bases for them are getting out of hand.
