Most juries are going to be instructed that they must find you guilty if you did anything that meets the definition of the charge. When a deal that lets you immediately go home to your life is on the table and you're looking at a life altering sentence if you lose at trial a lot of people aren't going to take the risk no matter how justified or innocent they are. |
