Took an old song and added that famous Sly and the Family Stone drum sample which comes from one side of the stereo field, 2 beats looped.. used by MANY rap producers, famously in the "Humpty Hump" song

From my perch, it's not hip-hop, but it is more "flow," than "singing." Of course, there was plenty of that in music before modern "rap." Edit: if that kind of "flow" is singing, and thus not "rap," than that would mean "Rapper's Delight" is not "rap." That's a tough sell for me. |
