Aircraft Spruce has ended up with a lot of my money over the years.

Even as an aircraft owner I rarely buy anything. After you've got all the gadgets there's nothing left to buy. Just oil and aviation cleaning supplies. Everything is always backordered or out of stock, so whoever has it gets my money.

I've bought from SkyGeeks, MyPilotStore, Aircraft Spruce and Amazon.

My oil always comes from Petroleum Service Company, except when they are backordered (like they are right now), then almost always Amazon for a $1.50 more per quart

I don't even really use much in the way of aviation-specific cleaning supplies anymore. Just CorrosionX Pro Wash and Carbon X for the soot and bugs. For windows I now use Brillianize--this stuff is stupid good and stupid cheap

It's just crazy how everything in aviation is always unobtainium except silly stuff like t-shirts and coffee cups.

Sporty's has gotten most of my money over the years for a few reasons.

They're local to me, so I can just fly over there and get what I want.

It's where I got my certificate, and I know some nice people there.

I actually know and like Hal Shevers, and what he has done for aviation locally and in general.

Every purchase USED TO enter you in the drawing for a new airplane.  I can't find any recent info on it, so I suspect that they no longer give them away.

Aircraft Spruce for hardware and such.  I hate ordering from them, because shipping usually costs as much as what I ordered.

For building my plane, it's been Aircraft Spruce with a smattering of McMaster-Carr.
I've also spent a lot of money at Sporty's.  Their products and service are great.

My airplane recently needed a new ELT in the middle of its annual.  Aircraft Spruce had what I needed in stock at a good price and shipped same day.  I was very satisfied.
