This seems to be discontinued. Stanley 10-480. Why do they do that! It auto loads the next blade from a magazine. It's actually pretty nice.

I ordered a Knipex Cutix to try out. What is the hotness in 18mm snap off blades these days?

I bought some Olfa (Japan) and Tajima (China) blades. Both are black coated and claim to be extra sharp.

Olfa is my go to. I'm no expert, its just what I use.

Strangely, I also have a dewalt 18mm sitting next to me on my desk. Not overly impressed, but what the hell....its a disposable razor blade dispenser not a finely tuned machine.

I have the very same one on my work desk. Great knife!  Need to get some more blades. Olfa always makes good stuff - guess I’ll get their blades.

I like the newer folders with regular blades.

I might try an olfa. I don't think I would like the thumb wheel. Is that an issue? My other knives auto lock

In to learn the advantages of a snap-off vs a traditional utility blade.

I just bought this and love it. Had it for a week or so and have used the driver quite a bit.

Because it's a full auto assault knife capable of wiping out entire schools one after another!  It has scary black rubber stuff and probably can be equipped with a shoulder thing that goes up!  DO IT FOR THE CHILLUNS!!!

Has anyone tried these folding utility knives?  Do they make a spring assisted one (like the Leek)?

I use a cousin of that knife in my travel tool box. Works great and the classic utility blades are more common in woodworking shops.

I don't believe one is better than the other. I do like being able to have a long blade for cutting soft stuff like foam.

I do fixed blade utility knives only. I had one unlatch, slip, and bleed be in the early 80's. Never again.

Tajima were my favorite till they discontinued the mini saw blades they made for them…

The Knipex Cutix is way smoother than my Stanley. More refined feeling. Locks nicely in each position.

I really don't need more razor knives but if I did the Cutix would probably get the nod.
