Buddy from church is selling a F-350 duelly with typical tool chest bed, has an air compressor, fuel tank and hoist mounted to it. 80k miles, no rust (from TX), crew cab, all new tires and brush guard, for $12.5k. FO?

It’s way overkill for the sort of truck uses I have in mind, but the price is quite tempting. It’s a clean title with no flood/accident history. Figure there’s at least 200k more miles in it. It’s missing some of the fancy creature comforts of most of the modern F-150’s but meh.

Thoughts?

If it meets your needs then go for it.  I know nothing about the value of a truck like that, but if you can use it snd afford it then go get it.

If it’s the 7.3 you can convert it to mechanical injectors and run it on the render oil of your enemies.

I have a 2003 flatbed f250 with 280000 miles on a v10. Runs strong. I now use it to get feed for critters.
I'm impressed, change oil and they last.

Once bidens gas prices hit I'll pick up another real cheap.

How many hours are on it? I recently bought a county vehicle at auction that has over 12,000 hours. 180K miles.

Love my 2001 f250 7.3

Don’t forget the 6.2 gas engine is great.

I’d buy it and i don’t even need a real truck.  $12.5K is a steal out here in SoCal for a good F350.  Like honestly i would think it’s stolen....

Hell...in that case, I'm hoping that some of the dealers will run the deal that I saw back in 2007. One of the Toyota dealers was running a special: If you bought a new Tundra, you would get a Yaris for free. I would buy the truck, only use it for inclement, non-motorcycle-friendly weather, and ride my motorcycle the rest of the time, and give the Yaris to the wife to drive.

I wouldn't do that to my wife, or myself.

I remember a deal like that from long long ago, a neighbor bought a new suburban and they gave him a chevett.

Any reply in this thread that isn't 'year and engine' or equivalent should be ignored...
You could have a run, don't walk deal, or a run away disaster.

Me too.

My 5.4 was alright in my F150, until it shit the bed when the timing belt broke at 178,000.

Not sure about the extra weight from a 350.

I’d be swapping out the tool box bed for either a flatbed or normal duelly bed, would that enough to help? I only need it to haul my quad around or the occasional trip to the lumber store/feed store.

1 ton with the 5.4? Don’t expect to get anywhere in a hurry.

We had one a while back, talk about sloooow. It was an alright truck though.
