Bernie Sanders is in my opinion the most credible threat. He is established, knows the ins and outs, has a following that is across the country, and the honest truth. Since he's not a minority, he will garner more votes. The majority of American Democrats still are Leftist Whites. They still like living in their gated White communities away from the projects and the barrios.
Minorities will back him due to the promise of free shit. The man hasn't been in office this long and not learned how to play the game. Biden will not run in my opinion. He is skilled, shrewd, and crafty. But he doesn't have the Socialist charisma that Bernie does. Biden is old school fleece the public and favor corporate cronyism Democrat. Bernie is an open Marxist that honeymooned in the USSR. He gets some minorities in his campaign and selects a socialist Black or a Latina female and he can very much do damage. I also believe that the DSA will throw their support behind him. Remember, Bernie endorsed Andrew Gillum (Former Mayor of Tallahassee, possible Hillary VP pick, and rising star in the DNC) for Governor. 
Gillum was super close to winning Florida in November. He will throw his support behind Bernie. Furthermore, Gillum crushed the other Dems in Florida during the primary by garnering the minority vote in urban areas. He has the pull and Bernie does too. I think he might tap Andrew Gillum. The guy came this close ?? to winning FL. He is very charismatic and charming. |

I laugh because it means another beast has been dropped on the Monster Island that is the democrat party. He and Beto will be hammered for being white men, hopefuly driving away what remains of the working class white males in the dem party.

I think the news said he was 77 years old. 78-79 by the time elections and potentially swearing in happen.

Bernie is in it to raise money.
The nominee will be younger. The superdelegates only have to sit out one round of voting for the feel good effect then they fix the election to whoever they wanted originally. They will find a way to make sure it goes into 2 or more votes. |

Bernie has zero chance. Zero.
I lurk on a few democratic forums and everyone is scared to death of Bernie running, losing the primary, then running as an independent giving Trump another easy victory. Right now the Democrats are less concerned about getting a socialists/SJW in the White House and more about just making sure Trump doesn't win election. Trump not winning is #1...finding a candidate that will pass the purity test is #2. He's like the Ron Paul of the Democrats. Very loyal/outspoken/vocal fan base but small. His Bernie-bots are very loud so they come across much larger than they truly are (just like with Ron Paul). The only chance the Democrats have is to elect a moderate that can grab the undecided. The democrats have zero chance with a socialists/SJW type and most of the democrats know that regardless of the vocal but tiny group of purple haired/non-binary Berkley types online that try to act like they're the "average democrat." These leftists make for great headlines/caricatures but that's not your average Democrat anymore. |
