Quoted: @BURN I seriously (for mostly kicks) EDC'd the original Raja to work one day. In my staff update, I pulled it out to trim my nails...it got deadly quiet until some young CPT started laughing Yes, you can pocket carry this beast in OCP pockets https://hosting.photobucket.com/albums/v440/ROCK-6/Firearms/.highres/Bulldog.jpg ROCK6 View Quote ,y coworkers love it |

I switch it up some but usually a Bestech Kendo off duty and a cheap Ganzo (don’t recall the model) on duty.
I have nicer and more expensive knives but don’t use them much. |

Quoted: so, which is your favorite? View Quote Sadly, the new job is in a super secret squirrel building on a .mil base with metal detectors, badging check ins, spot checks, etc. Blade restrictions are 2" (although if I was still in uniform, I could get away with a full sized auto) I have about a dozen pinky stabber to rotate now. I've loved Emerson for decades and carried them religiously, usually in addition to a Spyderco. Emerson CQC-8 was my favorite; Spyderco's Military and Para-Military are excellent slicers. In the last few years, I've really fell in love with Protech autos and their Whiskers II Magic is sublime. Not too many customs, but a Hinderer here, Grayman Sifu and a semi-custom Sebenza there. Different favorites for different activities... ROCK6 |

Blah, I figured this would be a thread of page after page of high speed-low drag peeps one-upping each other and I was not wrong.
Sigh, what ever happened to the simple pocket knife? This is just a little Japan-made pocket knife that was a promotional item for Simmons scopes I bought at the flea market many years ago. I guess I've carried it for at least as long as that quarter is old and does everything I need it to do in a "EDC" role. Best $5.00 I ever spent. Attached File I liked it so much I bought a spare on eBay in case I ever lose this one....I gave $12.00 for that one. |

View Quote I faithfully carried a Case Sodbuster for years and never had a desire for anything else. My work gave us all griptilians for a safety award one day and I realized how much I preferred the axis lock and thumb stud. I don't care about having anything exotic or cool looking, I just want an easy opening and closing knife. There isn't a week that goes by where I'm not having to hold something tight in my left and getting the knife out with my right. That's doable with most styles, but I really prefer the Benchmade setup. I definitely don't understand knife collectors, but I'm sure people feel the same way about someone with multiple handguns and rifles.... |

When you actually use a knife for more than cleaning your fingernails and whittling on the porch, all of that stuff matters. |

That is fuckin funny. Remember my grandpa had some ancient Case knives that had been sharpened so much the the blade had half the material it started with. |
