I don't know why, but this is what I pictured when I read the thread title.

Sad to see the Queers go. There is a EA6B at the Sonoma Museum that is awesome.

Loved the Intruder when I was with ANGLICO, didn't talk to or work with the Prowler.  Hard to believe the only Grumman product left in the Navy is the E2, times have sure changed.

Some of the comments from Growler community at the NAVAIR Symposium was that they've never heard so much attention being given to EW now that the F-35B and C are in the Fleet.

They said that before, they were always the odd man out, not paid much attention to in training, and kinda left by the wayside by the Fighter/Attack community.

Now EW is getting a lot more attention than it ever was before, since the F-35 brings with it capabilities that leap ahead of dedicated mission and crew-based EW birds.

No point in keeping the EA-6B around at this point.

Will be interesting to see what happens with E/A-18G working with F-35B/C as well.

Yep.  But back then, F-18's were called FAGS.  Which stands for "Fighter Attack Guys".

The go either way.

I was surprised to see Marines with them at Nellis in 2016-17, I thought they had long been retired.

I always loved the look of the A6 since I watched Flight of the Intruder as a kid.  Loved seeing them when we got to work around them at WTIs and what not.  The last WTI I went to in 2012 or 2013 they were out there for on the fixed wing line.  I was working on C-130s at the time.

I have a soft spot for the EA-6B.  Spent two tours in EA-6B squadrons.  I believe I worked on this jet when I was attached to VAQ-132.  It is now located at the Air Park near the NAWDC (Top Gun) building at NAS Fallon.  Kinda sad to see them as static displays or on a stick.
