My local Harris Teeter started carrying duck eggs recently. Ridiculously expensive ($2.50 for 4 eggs ) but holy shit they're delicious. WAY better than normal chicken eggs.
They have a much creamier consistency and the flavor is way better. It's...a deeper, fuller taste. Put in water, get to boiling, cover and remove from heat. Sit for 12-13 minutes. Pour out water and replace with ice water to help peeling. Add a sprinkle of salt and they're just amazing. HT also had some quail eggs but the damn things are so small I can't imagine they'd be worth anything. |

My neighbor used to sell me chicken and duck eggs from his flock. Duck eggs are rich and awesome.

Duck eggs are absolutely better. i was lucky enough to have them when my landlord's duck was producing.

Quail eggs are outstanding. A bit hard to deal with however.

Duck eggs are natural aphrodisiacs. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/267873/03B1489F-D863-4228-95CB-03F9B852F7F8_jpeg-784578.JPG View Quote |

Dad used to scramble his Duck eggs. He said they were better than Chicken eggs.
|

Yeah for scrambled eggs they are so delicious and have bigger yolks mmmm

Duck eggs are fantastic, the MIL keeps various fowl over at the farm and occasionally gives us some duck eggs. So yummy.

Try duck eggs in a dessert recipe. I made a white chocolate creme brulee with raspberry sauce one time. It was well recieved.
|
|
Now take it to the next level and try a goose egg. They're even better than duck!

It’s weird. I know eggs are eggs, but for some reason the thought of eating duck eggs grosses me out.

I had a quail egg once, and remember, it’s so small & I had a mouthful of salad greens (arugula), I barely taste it. Alton Brown claims quail eggs are tastier than chicken.
Bottom line: quail eggs are worth the effort, but not in my experience. |

I have a friend who I buy duck eggs from, $5 per dozen. Her daughter raises the ducks and packages the eggs for me and a few other people. She earns the money to go to summer camp. I am allergic to regular eggs and duck eggs are a lifesaver.

My wife and I went to visit her dad a couple of summers ago. We had duck eggs while we were there and they were amazing; rich and creamy flavor.

Spotted owl eggs are much better. Even better than whooping crane or bald eagle eggs. Now platypus eggs are a real treat.
|
|
A neighbor lady used to boil quail eggs and pickle them. She put red peppers in the jar to make them spicy. They were super delicious. I need to try some duck eggs though.

Try pasture raised chicken eggs. Don’t buy certified organic because they are required to feed them more grain to qualify for the label. They’re like family farm eggs.
When chickens are allowed to forage for bugs & greens the eggs are much more flavorful, and have more nutrients. |

My buddy gives us duck eggs from his farm. I’m not a huge fan, they’re very rich and gamey.
My GSD fucking loves them, though. |

Stuff that needs eggs as part of the recipe are sooooo much better with duck eggs.
Got a friend here that sells them for $5 a dozen. |

Duck eggs are intense with flavor indeed.
Pro tip: For perfect poached eggs use a sous vide machine. |
|
I have a couple free range chickens but my buddy has a bunch of ducks. For my friends xmas party Saturday I made two dozen deviled duck eggs with diced bacon and pickled jalapenos mixed in
|

A fried duck egg is awesome on top of a burger.
BTW, I am paying $14 per dozen, so OP is getting a bargain. |
|
Our friends give them to us once in a while.
They are alright, but I prefer home grown chicken eggs. |
|
If you like goose eggs, try an ostrish egg. They are huge. 4 of us shared one and we could not finish it.
