Now 12 dollar shave, I'd expect.

I have been a subscriber for about three years now.

I have to admit, I'm very happy with the prices and
the conditions of the club.

I like being able to choose when the razors are
shipped, and the ability to add other products
I need at no additional shipping cost.

I did try Harry's.

(Tried the $3.00 special:
One Handle
One Blade
One Gel Foam, shipping included.)

I'm on the fourth day of a Harry's five blade
razor, and have to admit that DSC is a better
system, (To me) for $1.25/blade vs.
$1.88 for Harry's (based on bulk purchase).

The Harry's is rough on my skin and causes bleeding, (Razor burn)
even with foam.

(EDIT/UPDATE: After only 14 days, the Harry's Razor BROKE. Harry's Customer Service told me 6-8 shaves is the expected lifespan.
I told them that for 50% more cost per blade and only HALF the lifespan, they won't be able to "steal" customers from Dollar Shave Club.
I shave 15-16 days per razor on Dollar Shave Cub blades with no issues. Might be able to get more life out of them, but I change blades
on the 1st and 16th of every month to make it easy to remember change dates...)

I tried a Harry's I picked up at Target and didn't like how the blade holder seems to be far too "floppy".  I put my finger on the back while shaving to give it some support.  Stopped using it and went back to a Gillette with the rotating ball type head on it, with the single blade on the top to trim sideburns and under the nose.

Iirc, the DSC stuff was just repackaged Dorco stuff and was often available direct for cheaper than thru DSC.

If its about $, I'm spending about $0.12 per blade for my Astra Platinum double sided safety razor blades. (100ct for $11.49 from amazon)

Am I the only one that uses a new razor every shave?

At 11 cents a blade I use a new one every shave or every other shave. Can't beat a safety razor. It's cheap and works great and doesn't irritate as much as a cartridge razor.

For those bearded brethren, check out Dollar Beard Club.

Same premise, only for beard gear

Ok, stepping away now...

So, I can just buy DORCO Blade refills for my DSC Handles??

If, so, is there a model number?

I've been using Harry's for about 8 months and have decided to quit. I like the single blade on the back for getting under my nose, but overall am not happy with the shave I get. I don't have a heavy beard, so blades from DSC used to last me a couple of weeks. Not Harry's. I'm lucky to get a week out of 'em.

Yes, DSC is nothing more than Dorco, but more expensive.

I have super thick hair, so one shave and the blade is too dull to use again. The thing I have noticed is that dsc, Harry's, Gillettte and etc are all trash. Find a double edged safety razor handle and good German blades.
