Do you really loot enemy soldiers once you kill them (for ammo and weapons...assuming a lull or stop in combat)? Do you leave them or have to bury them? I would think it would suck to be looted after being shot on the battlefield. I would think it would also suck to get shot while looting an enemy on the battlefield. Are our enemies worse than us when it comes to this kind of thing?

I don't loot anyone. Not sure who you've been talking to about me but they're lying.

Historically, yes. Especially insurgents or poorer nations' soldiers.
The famous photo of the soviets raising their flag over the Reichstag had to be modified because they had numerous German watches on their arms. Some countries based their weapons off their most likely enemy's so that they could use captured ammo. Finland did this. |

You, as in....me? If there is loot, it goes in the stash box. I don't care what it is, shit's mine now.
If you are talking about actual soldiers in war and not me playing video games, I dunno. I imagine if they killed a fucker that was trying to kill them, to the victors go the spoils and all that. I am pretty sure they wait until all the shooting is over though, then loot. I imagine they are mostly just going to get more weapons and supplies. I seriously doubt many go into mortal battle with the deed to their mansion in their back pocket. |

Why not?
And thanks to my Indian heritage, I’m planning to take scalps ... or maybe ears |

Pro tip.
If you equip scavenger, you get double ammo and grenades. |

I would acquire necessary ammo, rations and medical supplies from my own fallen comrades. Personal effects no.

You can't take it with you. The dead don't own anything. Why would you worry about taking shit from a guy that just tried to kill you

1/2 of GD's SHTF plan is to loot dead commies in the US streets.

You’re thinking to much about it.
You don’t leave equipment on the battlefield that can be used against you later. Take it or destroy it. Also fuck them. They just tried to kill you. |

Yes, you need to know where they've been and where they're going.

Acquired a Republican Guard black beret from an Iraqi that didn't need it anymore in Kuwait during the 1st Gulf War.

Depends, shtf, I'm taking your shit. I wont care if I'm dead.

At first I thought special forces would be less likely to do it but they are probably more likely to do it, like with terrorist targets (looking for cell phones etc). |

I take ears. Sometimes I shit in their mouths. Depends.
Apart from ears the corpses generally don't have anything worth keeping. |

Collection of enemy weapons and equipment is SOP after a battle. What happens after it is collected determines whether you were looting or contributing to that big thread on Strange Weapons Found in the Middle East.
Never been involved in SSE myself, but according to people I know that, haji cell phones and computers tend to have pretty fucked up porn collections on them. |

First of all he/she is dead. That's a permanent thing. Not like they are coming back later and want their stuff back. And having just blown his head off or his guts out his asshole you have pretty well fucked up his day so taking his watch, ring, or whatever isn't going to affect his situation much. Most of the time it was cheap shit and all nasty so it wasn't worth digging through the the blood and shit to get to it anyway. I tossed a decent Seiko watch cause I couldn't get the dead stink off it.

Like another post said “Tactical site exploitation” is a real thing. |
