Normally, they failed 20k miles ago. Or, about when the first owner sold it. Someone AJ’d it I can say that the 2020 Cherokee I had as a loaner was a nice little vehicle. Quoted: I could probably make it last longer if we really cut back on other things. Well, that's 10 months if Wodstock is still working. My share of my bills is about $2000/mo. But, once I pay off 1 loan, it drops to $1600. I pay the mortgage, my jeep, half the trailer, car insurance, garbage, Ooma, and my website. Might be a little more than $2k, come to think of it, so maybe I have 8 mos in the bank. She's got about $9k left on her Jeep, she just transferred a credit card to another lower interest one and is paying it off faster. My personal credit line is the last of my CC debt, and I'm gonna axe that once we do our taxes, I should be getting a bunch back to the raping I got on my severance. I'm still keeping my spending low, haven't bought any gun stuff in over a year, only bought a little bit of electronics. I just need to get her to stop spending on things we really don't need. She's got stuff showing up from Scamazon at least once a week. I can kinda understand a $20 faucet and a $12 lodge skillet, tho. And, she usually makes $200-400 in cash helping clean someone's house for like 4 hours. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: NOICE! Quoted: We survived being on one income, so we have a bunch of ground to make up now. View Quote It's kinda funny how our expenses went down so much while I was unemployed. Even with the $200/mo trailer payment, we were spending quite a bit less every month. I'm looking at my APRs and my Jeep is only 3.1%, but I wanna pay it off faster, but I also wanna pay the house off fast, but... I know in pure dollars, I'm paying more interest on the house than the Jeep, but the house isn't depreciating like the Jeep is. Interest on the trailer is about 5.6%, iirc, so there's that, too. I dunno. In terms of total amount owed, it's House > Jeep > Trailer. The trailer is the only thing we don't NEED, but, shit, it sure is nice to have a portable house we could use in an emergency. |

BNR is thinking about joining the "cool guy" arf club and purchasing a "gun".
I've got a line on a S&W Military and Police revolver down in Houston. It has got to be good if the military and police used it, right? I'd be tactically running a cool operational gun. The seller describes it as having some rust and pitting from hurricane flood damage and sitting in a storage shed for 60 years and is only asking $3500. I could get a neat camo pattern holster for it. |

Quoted: Quoted: Ya...the machining doesn't look good on the bolt. I just hope the gun runs. Pics? I just assembled the gun back together. It seems fine. I'm way too lazy to take it back apart. If you look at it in the light you can see where they used a .250 (I'm guessing or there about) enddmill to machine down the height. You can clearly see circular marks all over. Also looks like it was dropped on a hard surface. Others have the said the same. About the machine marks. Maybe I'm too picky because of my day job because none of that would fly for parts I make. |
