JBL Bar 2.1 soundboard with wireless sub. Maybe had it 8 months and been great. Just used in living room, don't crank it wide open, just watch TV at normal volumes.

Few min ago I was flipping thru channels and the sub made several VERY LOUD thumps. I immediately turned the volume down all the way down to figure out WTH was going on. Now the sub barely works, even with the bass turned up all the way. I've power cycled soundboard and sub, disconnecting power to both, as well as performing a "reset" as described in manual. No change in sub performance.

Sounds like either your Amp died or the Amp died and killed the sub with it. More likely the 1st.

You could take the sub out of the enclosure and hook another speaker to the amps outputs and see what you get.

Thank you for the reply. I may try that tomorrow, as well as call JBL and see what they say.
