Probably wasn't this that you saw but then again, maybe it was...
"Two prototypes have been built. The first prototype is now flying in the US, registered as N8015Q. The second prototype which didn't fly is in the Technik Museum Speyer in Germany." FlightAware says it's owned by a guy in Illinois. https://flightaware.com/resources/registration/N8015Q

Cool. That first one in blue is what it looked like.
Appeared to be going Max speed for under 10k ft. Was not too quite either. Looks like a fun plane |

Sonex Subsonex jet has a Y tail. But the catch is you have to build it yourself.
