Just saw what looked like a Bonanza, but it had a jet engine.

Is this a new jet, or has it been around for a whil

Or are my eyes just getting worse?

Thanks

Probably wasn't this that you saw but then again, maybe it was...

"Two prototypes have been built. The first prototype is now flying in the US, registered as N8015Q. The second prototype which didn't fly is in the Technik Museum Speyer in Germany."

FlightAware says it's owned by a guy in Illinois.

Cirrus Vision, most likely.   I'm starting to see them more often.

Cool. That first one in blue is what it looked like.

Appeared to be going Max speed for under 10k ft.

Was not too quite either.

Looks like a fun plane

Sonex Subsonex jet has a Y tail.  But the catch is you have to build it yourself.

Three of the five actually constructed crashed, two due to structural issues and one due to asymetric flap failure IIRC.   Not exactly a stellar record.

I read those accident reports. I guess function doesn't always follow form.

If I had the money for a Cirrus Vision jet, I'd buy a TBM or a Citation 501.

I would bet it was a cirrus Vision too.

I remember taking pictures while sitring in one with my boys and being told by people here.

That thing is vaporware. It will never be built.

I see them flying here all the time.  Makes me smile when I see one.

The one I saw most likely flew out of Addison airport north of Dallas

The original Bede jet didn’t fare too well either.
