I got one and put a Shelix on it out of the box.
 I no longer have a big dust collector in this new place, so use a shopvac and dust deputy, and it keeps up with shavings which are not so unruly as with the knives. |

Put the helical on it now. It's such a massive quality and usability increase that you will hardly believe it.

Yeah, the helical head is such a massive upgrade there is zero reason to wait for the knives to chip or wear out. Just do it. Quieter, smoother, faster, more durable, better, you name it.
