-1 for no Chingkiang vinegar-1 no shaoshing wine
-1 no ginger -1 for 5-spice 6/10 and probably tasted fine but not true to the region's cooking |

So I wasn't going to post this one, the lighting was extra funky and I took the pics with my iPad. They came out very dull and dark. So I used the auto feature for the levels, it made it look like I was trying to fake something which was not the case. So if you can forgive the slightly off color. Here's my Kung Pao https://s26.postimg.cc/9dukvejbd/898_FCB46-4_F6_A-43_DA-_A7_C1-_A12951507666.jpg https://s26.postimg.cc/eci39x7op/C4_DC5_C40-_D3_CD-47_D9-8412-9_E4_F98655_C62.jpg The old Springfield gi champion, mora kansbol, and marlin 30-30 served with a colors banquet because Cobra Kai https://s26.postimg.cc/cxgil6jg9/66482_CAF-7_D24-48_B7-_B79_E-_D022_B117458_F.jpg Pan fried and steamed the rest of my from scratch dumplings from the char sui dinner pic. They froze and recooked wonderfully. Sauce is soy, fish sauce, and I little rice vinegar. https://s26.postimg.cc/xhlcjo6x5/4_FA9_DC73-6180-4_A3_B-8362-6_F34503_DE456.jpg Roasted red chili's, bell pepper, and sweet onion with peanuts. Sauce is sweet chili, hoisin, soy, rice vinegar, Korean red pepper, cayenne pepper, Japanese five spice, a little fish sauce, and a few pinches of cornstarch. https://s26.postimg.cc/dzqp3qx4p/BAD9_D912-5_C87-4694-8861-0_AB62_D7383_F0.jpg It's a subtle coating but hot as hell...garnish with green onion and seaseme and a few crushed peanuts. https://s26.postimg.cc/vd0zimfl5/9_DC592_C3-6_EB5-4845-8_AB9-8_E2_D05_C15339.jpg https://s26.postimg.cc/x4tydh1i1/E8_FE7_F7_D-101_D-4_FD4-_BCA6-244_ECCD465_DE.jpg Black tiger shrimp from Costco, pretty tasty. But I'm still trying to cool it with carbs so just the main course and the gyoza for me. Not my prettiest dinner pic but the flavor was on point, and the heat was plenty. Enjoy https://s26.postimg.cc/nx1pwspax/E1_BF8_B9_C-0_E3_D-4005-_B159-533_D10_E5_F6_AC.jpg View Quote Awesome presentation. Bon Apptit! |

Totally fine dinner, altho some frost on that glass would add to taste & effect.
Hot spicy food with COLD beer. |

9/10.
Food looks awesome. One point deducted for use of banquet beer in the absence of a banquet. |

Thanks guys. The dumplings were frozen from a few moths ago when I made them. Proof of long term storage. Will definitely make some more. And get more adventurous with the filling. https://s26.postimg.cc/nvgpcy6fd/20180507_212523.jpg https://s26.postimg.cc/rru18th3d/20180507_203753.jpg https://s26.postimg.cc/3o39klj7t/20180507_204026.jpg https://s26.postimg.cc/55opvp5tl/20180508_210352.jpg View Quote |

9/10 only because no steak. A great effort and looks good, just needs a strip next to it.

Krashdog - are you in a major metropolitan area with a sizeable Asian population? I have to go to Mordor/Denver to get ingredients. I used up the last of my noodles to make tomato beef chow mein.

View Quote Great sunsets though. And there's like 3 Asian markets in town, very friendly. Best source for seafood is costco around here. Nothing but anemic salmon and tilapia in the grocery stores. |

Quoted: Not at the time of cooking. Like I said I wasn’t going to post this one because I didn’t like how the pics turned out. But..... I’m heading out of town tomorrow and wanted to post a dinner pic for this week. I did make a balsamic pork chop again, damn that's a good recipe. But I've already done a balsamic glaze thread and krash don't do repeats. It was fuckin good though. https://s26.postimg.cc/tmhyh7qd5/20180815_234927.jpg https://s26.postimg.cc/6xsrhn19l/20180815_234935.jpg https://s26.postimg.cc/9rvwv2vq1/20180815_235022.jpg Juicy chop https://s26.postimg.cc/udaomekuh/20180815_235109.jpg View Quote |

3 Markets in town? Lucky you. There is one in Pueblo but it was pathetic. A white classmate took me to some good markets in Mordor(Denver). I even managed to buy bitter melon there.
