New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo proposed raising taxes on the wealthy to a combined level of 14.7%, which would be the highest state-and-local tax rate in the nation. The tax increase would raise $1.5 billion for the state, Cuomo said Tuesday in an address unveiling his 2022 budget proposal. The move would be part of a three-pronged approach — raising revenue, cutting expenses and borrowing — to cover the state's historic budget shortfall due to Covid-19, Cuomo said. "New York cannot manage a $15 billion deficit," according to Cuomo, who said the state's largest prior deficit was $10 billion. "It's beyond what we can do." I hope he pushes it through.
They want it. They can have it. Good and hard. |
And goodbye businesses and everything else. Only to fucking infect red counties all over.
That will surely fix everything! That guy is so smart. No way anything can go wrong with that!

What's that old saying about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results...

Ask the mayor's wife for all the money back that "vanished" under her custody.
Suicidal that they are raising taxes right now and it is a money grab. Uncle Xiden is gonna pick up the tab for everything anyway, the rest is just gravy. |

Why in the fuck do people still want to live and work and have their business there?
South Florida is better than NYC in everyway imaginable. |
I guess they are at the point that the ones who could leave already did.
By encouraging this exodus.. this is how you blue/purple wave the remaining red strongholds around the US
Cuomo's sort of been resisting the call for higher and higher taxes on the rich (well resisting compared to the even loonier left in the legislature)
Anyone who can split has I bet |
Florida is full of covid refugees as it is. That will break us.
I bet Biden puts the federal deduction for state taxes back in pretty quick

To the few free states left,
Revoke DMV reciprocity with NY while you still can. Pull over and impound all NY tagged vehicles and arrest then deport anyone with a NY Driver's license or ID. Use COVID as the excuse() You've been warned for the last time. |

This is for a place that smells like garbage & dog piss... Get off the trains and first thing you do when you hit the street is step over homeless & their bags of shit(literally). FNYC & the garbage(I mean leadership in this case).

Good that’s a few more percent they can’t spend on the democrat party or Antifa.
Yeah, how long until the federal SALT deduction gets kicked back to pre-Trump settings?
It’s basically legal extortion. Forcing people to pay more in taxes because of your political failures. Just like that scumbag Corzine making nj residents pay a penalty/tax for selling their house and moving out of state. They keep taking from the hard working people and give some back to the freeloaders for votes and keep getting re-elected. The cycle doesn’t stop and is only going to get worse.

Fails to mention that "wealthiest" >$50K/yr.
Fails to mention increases on other income tiers. Wonder why. |
I really hope he gets it through.
Nothing red pills people faster than shoving that blue pill up their ass dry |
want to see the effect of this?
Look at the voting results from Arizona or Colorado. All the californifags moved there to escape and brought their stupidity with them. |
The problem is that they leave the state and turn red states blue voting for the same shit they're trying to escape.
Wham wham wham wham... Go ahead beat that dead horse. 1.5 million people moved already.

My wife was talking to someone yesterday who owns a high end furniture company. He's LOVING this.
Apparently all the NYC residents are fleeing to their Hampton residences, realizing that they need to be refurnished and are throwing money at him right and left. He's in the process of getting new manufacturing space that is triple his current place to keep up with demand. |
I wouldn't be surprised to see a national sales tax or property tax floated out to help 'during these challenging times'.
And in Tomorrow's News
"NY State Can't Figure Out Why The Wealthy Are Leaving!" |
Billons? How shockingly small. Mere crumbs and tip money by todays standards of using "trillions" as a means of payouts, kickbacks and shakedowns. Cum-o needs to pump those numbers up or go be poor someplace else.
