That blows. I've got a package of cigars in the hands of the USPS. Hopefully they fare better than yours.
Any chance you'll get replacement cigars shipped? |

I have no idea what happens now. I sent them a message asking if they will reship the order. We'll see what happens.

CigarBid has the worst customer service of anyone I’ve dealt with. My last order was missing a five pack, so I emailed them about it. Two weeks and another email later, they finally respond and said they were contacting UPS to determine if the package was delivered. If it had been delivered then I wouldn’t be reimbursed. Trying to explain that I received all parts of the order but one was an exercise in futility. I haven’t ordered since. |

I agree. Their customer service sucks. I made the mistake of calling once. An hour to get through, rude and no help what so ever.

I have found the singles are sometimes the best deal. especially if you know what they usually go for. If I'm a first bidder and there are a shit ton, I'll bid the dollar on all of them, and put my max bid a bit lower than what I'm willing to pay. I usually end up with some of them at a very cheep price. and have rarely gotten all of them but if I do, so much the better.

Today I learned that Cbis is an organized as a Chinese fire drill. I got an order confirmation and it matched what I had won/ordered. Shipment notice later. They shipped out the order before sending the email. The order confirmation and shipping receipt had the same items on it, not quantity. When I emailed them asking about it they said it had already shipped but they would correct it. So I got a package over 3 different days of a few singles each to make up the 1-3 cigars on each order they missed. Dumb me thought they would have printed out the order confirmation and had the pullers go off that, apparently not.
I only notified them it was short and didn't match the order confirmation. Then a bunch of shipping orders of singles by themselves, didn't group them together in one shipment. I guess them sending an email asking if you want a partial refunder or a whole other shipment was out of the question. |

Quoted: Tips and tricks for anyone interested: Pick your price, put your bids in and walk away. I loose a lot of auctions. I've seen identical lots close within minutes of each other and one be half the price. I will bid on my "opening day" weekly. If I don't win anything, I wait for the next week to bid again. If I win something, I bid on everything that week. I spam all the smokes I am interested in. I place the bids daily and only bid on stuff closing that day. That keeps you from starting a bidding war with someone who wants to pay too much.. I'll bid on 20+ lots per day. Click on all auctions, sort by ending soon, filter cigars and then set a max price and bid on everything you like. I usually set a $2 max and end up with all kinds of stuff. I think there might be an algorithm that promotes the stuff that has heavy bidding. Every month or so you can change your shipping day. If your shipping day is Thursday and Wednesday you change your day to Tuesday, you can get a few extra days of bidding in and save on shipping. Amazon has MTM plastic .50 ammo cans on sale every once and a while. They sell 3 cans and a stackable tray for $20. (Sub the Amazon deals thread) They work great for storing excess loot. I'm a noob and these might not be good cigars but I don't know any better. I smoke the ones I like and give away the rest. YMMV View Quote |

Hers a tip. If you buy singles and they have a bunch like 30 to 40 and you catch it early say on, Newly added. When they are still 1 or two bucks a piece, bid for them all and make you max bid what ever your actualy willing to bid.
I recently bid on 35 Lunatics at a dollar, max bid $3 so $105 if I win them all. A box of 28 is around $165 I think. I won 28 so so $78 dollars for a whole box. Saved nearly a hundred dollars offf of the box price and refilled my Lunatic only humidor. Same with anything your will to buy all of, because chances are you wont win them all and anyone who bids after you has to bid more than your max bid. |

Well, I made it nearly six months before falling face down in the dirt again.
1st order, and it was going to be my only order, and you know. One and done, I always say. I got a box of E.P. Corrillo Pledges for $85 with taxes and shipping. Not so bad. Then I thought hey, lets see who's in the old neighbor hood. Hmmmm. That cost me $211.99, then $266.66, then $268.05, and one more order that doesn't ship till this Thursday, and I still have a bunch of auctions waiting to end to see the damage. This is in 5 weeks counting the last order that isn't finished. So $851.something, and one more order to add on when this Thursday arrives. |

I'm here for you brother been clean about 30 again. Maybe a bit longer, feels like a year. Finances slowly recovering. I got your back. Smoke what you got, store what's coming and remain calm, and think about it a lot.
I swear if burring money brought me as much pleasure as a good cigar, I would burn my money. |
