Sadly, Webley has killed off their traditional Tempest product, which traced its lineage to 1920.

I got a Tempest when I was 8?, and put over 100k pellets through it.  It did need new seals/spring every once in a while, but it was an awesome way to practice.  They do benefit a lot from some minor trigger work.

Sadly, they're up to $225+ on gunbroker now.

I've wanted one of those since I was a kid after seeing one in my Gun Digest. Damn, they look so cool!

Tell me more about that broomhandle.  It looks like it has a fun switch.

@p3590

Mine is semi auto only, I think the airsoft ones have a working happy switch

How fast is the cyclic rate on it?

I converted a Umarex Walther P99 BB pistol to FA at one point, and it ran REALLY fast.

Fuck, that's really cool.  Looks like it weighs the same as the real gun.

Do they make one in Martini Henry guise?

Gotta get my Men of Harlech on....

I'm jelly.

When I get mine, I'm going to start carving a wood pattern for the brass casting.  So many projects, so little time.  I still need to finish book #5 and get back to workin the Edward Marshall (long walk flintlock) rifle.

Not that I know of, but they do have a lever action that uses the same "cartridges".  It looks like its BB only though.

It comes with a reprint of the actual 1937 Webley military manual.

Pistol feels great.  Trigger pull is on par with a real one.

The only slightly dumb thing is the fake cartridges are so long they don't get thrown completely clear when ejecting, which will slightly slow down starling murder.

Apparently you get a 3 year warranty in the UK, just a little perk to having a queen I guess.

And Arfcom just cost me more money.

Tag for when it shows up, so I can try to post pics of it alongside my (unshaved) 1918 real one.

I'm still waiting (order placed a while back).  It took me longer because I couldn't get the coupon to work.  I contacted TechSupport and they couldn't get it to work.  I finally called it in.

I wish someone would make a faithful replica of the Mark VI with modern steel.  With modern steel you could include two cylinders one for the original 455 Webley and one shaved for 45 ACP on moonclips.  That would be awesome.

I would buy one for sure!

Webley pellet gun didn't get me as I have both a .455 & 38/200, but I must have the pith helmet for my Martini Henry.

I feel like, as a matter of principle, you are violating the cardinal "get both" rule.

You need to have a Webley pellet revolver so you can go on starling jihad with your pith helmet, in town, hopefully with other arfcommers.

Compared to a python, yes.  Compared to a Nagant revolver, no. I've shot many but don't own a center fire Webley.

We can let the experts chime in, but my air pistol had a horrid DA pull for the first couple shots and smoothed out to about a middle of the road S&W service revolver.

That's what I thought of. I'd LOVE to have one of those... but they're made in the UK and I don't think there's any way to get one imported... and they're stupid expensive.

You can get one imported with minimal hassle, but they are 5 figures level expensive.

Yeah, but this is Montana, I'll just do that with the .455 & .38/200 dual wielding and the neighbors will once again ask themselves, "Now WTF if this MF doing?".

If you can dump lead revolver rounds in town...I need to seriously consider moving there for retirement and also putting 3/8" of AR500 around my house.
