Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claims the Keystone XL pipeline would support "thousands of jobs on both sides of the border." AFP via Getty Images Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday said he was “disappointed” in President Biden’s pledge to revoke a permit for the controversial Keystone XL pipeline — as the company behind it said work on the project was being suspended. In a statement issued following Biden’s inauguration, Trudeau said he “spoke directly” to Biden about the $8 billion project in November, and other Canadian officials “made the case” in favor of it “to high-level officials in the incoming administration.” “While we welcome the President’s commitment to fight climate change, we are disappointed but acknowledge the President’s decision to fulfill his election campaign promise on Keystone XL,” Trudeau said. |

Dementia Joe killed a lot of jobs today and he only worked for part of it. Keystone jobs and suspending the wall, those folks will be out of work as well. Give it some time, the stock market will tank.

This is what the republicans do here, they talk big when there is nothing they can do to change an issue, it is easy pandering. This guy can do the same, play like he is saddened by something he has no control over but actually supports..? If he wanted to kill the pipeline in Canada but it would be too costly politically.. now he gets it killed but no blame and can possibly benefit by playing like he supports Canadian jobs. |

The story of that pipeline is a long, retarded example of government ineptitude. The pipeline was going to be fine, but the government kept moving the goalposts and fucking with the owner (Halliburton I think?). Eventually we ended up buying it for like 6 times what it was worth and effectively shuttered the project because some “tribal elders” were against the project, even though the bands whose land the pipeline ran through, and their actual elected rival governments were in favor of the project. |

Papa Joe, Nancy, and Chuck are gonna send out so many checks it's gonna make Trump and the spending bills in his administration look miserly by comparison. Multitrillion dollar bills with massive bailouts and injections of cash into the financial sector are gonna be the norm from now on. The markets are all-in on the Great Reset. Corporate America loves them some woke socialism, because they're gonna be the winners picked by TPTB. |
