The cost of up and moving a business is not cheap.
If they are trapped behind enemy lines I hold no ill will toward them.

IN THE PAST:
Some companies supported passage of gun control and made shady deals with the liberals.

If you're going to make a list, put a summary of the reason and link to the thread where ARF discussed it for each one so people can understand and make an informed decisions and tell others.

Time and new management has healed wounds but it took a long time.

They made good examples for what can happen though.

Ruger has definitely taken steps to repair damage done by former owners/management.

I don’t know why smith keeps building revolvers with locks.

We also don’t like CTD, RRA or Springfield.

CTD takes every "gun" crisis, and price gouges with their products. Magazines over $100, etc. I used to buy from them, but don't even go to their website anymore. Don't want to give them the click.

Because in Panic times they would jack the prices up beyond belief . If a Glock Pistol would come with 2 or 3 standard magazines . they would ship it with one and sell the other for Astronomical prices

1. I haven't ever ordered from Optics Planet but based on comments in the other thread they never really sold magazines until recently. They may have never sold 30 rd AR mags from my understanding.
2. There are specific ordinances in Cook county (where the business is located) that restrict the sale of these items. I'm not a lawyer and unaware if they could still choose to sell to "free" states.
"It shall be unlawful for any person to manufacture, sell, offer or display for sale, give, lend, transfer ownership of, acquire, carry or possess any assault weapon or large capacity magazine in Cook County."

3. This is not a recent policy change and this was clarified in a 2nd email that was posted in the other thread. The wording was clearly very poor in the original communication.

If I am wrong then I will gladly edit this post with the correct information.
Based on all of the above I think you guys need to put away the pitchforks.

Maybe it was a poor choice to locate their business there originally but I will not hold that against them.
I salute companies like Magpul that willingly relocated when Colorado passed the ridiculous laws. That is not possible for all companies.

I gave up boycotting years ago. I have long since lost track of who I'm supposed to hate and why.
