Let's say a person has lost interest in Blantons but still has a few new-in-box bottles of it, is there a legal way of selling it?

There is a website Blanton's Dump Date that you can post the dates on and people looking for specific dates can try and make a deal with you.

I’ll take them for free and free shipping.
Do you happen to have an L or O cork from an empty bottle? |

I'm trying to find some decent information as well. I have an old bottle of Crown Royal XR Waterloo which isn't made anymore and wouldn't mind using it to fund something I actually do like, yet not even liquor stores have any clue.

Just found these locally for $75 a piece (last time if found it locally I had to get on a wait list and paid $120...) I know a little about bourbon and Blantons, but the first I bought came in a box with a cloth bag. These just have netting. Is that normal? Wax is still intact Attached File

I am happy to buy a bottle. I’ve been looking for a bottle for months. We have a family tradition, the father of the bride or groom has a bottle to share with all the brothers and uncles at a wedding. My daughter is getting married in OCT and I haven’t been able to locate a bottle.
OP, please message me. Willing to pay a fair price. |

I had 3.5 cases of it lying around then my ulcer started bleeding heavily and my bourbon drinking days came to a screeching halt. My friends came out of the woodwork and bought them all from me. Technically you can't sell liquor without a license but there are a ton of secondary sites on facebook that you can sell them. Secondary market is between 90-100 on them right now.

Drive to Kentucky and go to any bar or liquor store.
Or open a bar in your own state. Those are pretty much much your only legal options. |

Quoted: Seeing as you've likely tried everything on my "try" list. In your opinion, what is the best bourbon out there? Right now, Weller 12 is probably the best I've had View Quote I dont have a very sophisticated palate. I have a tough time picking "notes" out of most pours. "Best" is a moving target imo, and highly subjective. I like different things at different times, having a selection is nice. I do keep going back to a few bottles that will always be on my shelf (so long as I can find them.) Weller Antique 107 (12 is quite good imo, but I prefer 107, heresy, I know.....), EH Taylor Single Barrel and Small Batch, Willett 3 yrs Rye, and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. My top 10 changes over time, but those have remained fairly consistent. |

You’re right. I live in Missouri where Weller anything is hard to find and usually expensive, $32 for Special Reserve. When I go to Kansas I can find SR half gallon for $38. I guess it all about allocation and it keeps the secondary pricing high.

I know. Not long ago I could get Blantons all day long for $50-$55. Didn't think much of it until it became the new craze. First, the price went up, then it disappeared. I know guys who have spent $150-$200 on a bottle of it, just to say they have it.
I guess it is like the stock market. If I could predict the future, I would be rich. |

Kicking myself in the ass now. I'm not opening my bottle until I find another one. |

Would rather drink a $30 bottle of Weller than a Blantons at any street price at this point.

I overpaid for my bottle, but the hype got to me. It wasnt that much, about $90 shipped, but I would not pay that again. Its good, definitely, but there are better options out there for that price (hell, even MSRP). Its well overhyped. Mine came with no bag, no net, no box, but wax was intact, so no worries. |
