It happens....
Momi Bean caught a grander Blue Marlin in front of Honakoahu Harbor, HI. Alone in a 16’-18’ boat. There have been several spectacular catches by people alone in small boats. Regular occurrence by subsistence fishermen in places like Ghana. Even more spectacular on hand lines. |

Great fish, and an epic battle, I'm sure.
Sadly, its unlikely that they have a commercial permit, and just like last year, the market is a joke. Also, after a 6/7 hour battle, the meat is likely full of yake (burnt) . Still quite an acheivement!
