He really got some bad/false advice. Why are you so sure he got bad advice? Couldn't this be his own bad decision? Your right. Of course he ultimately has to own it. We do know people were purposely lying to him and we are seeing how Mitch and Graham work right now. I have no first hand knowledge but I can only imagine that he was told he couldn’t do some things politically. He didn’t realize we had his back. |

Quoted: Lots of folks who've been locked up, fired, and you know. . . shot in the face who may feel the same way. They don't have the luxury to just walk away and feel betrayed. Quoted: He was betrayed by us. If the same had happened to Obama’s second term there would’ve been actual rioting. View Quote Ironically, rioting and pressuring the governors and Congress to either replace or deny electors was exactly what the Democrat’s Transitional Integrity Project had planned and recommended if Trump had positively won the election so all this bullshit hoopla over the Capitol “riots” is just that... Quoted: i loved the man,but i cannot feel empathy when he just gave up!granted,i know the struggle was real but damn!he is knowingly handing the keys of the nation over to the chinese! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: At minimum, sheds some light into what Trump is thinking and feeling right now. i loved the man,but i cannot feel empathy when he just gave up!granted,i know the struggle was real but damn!he is knowingly handing the keys of the nation over to the chinese! He didn't give up, he exhausted every available option short of rebellion. Because he's not a rebel ("law and order" president ring any bells?) Sometimes you lose, and in politics you don't die when you lose, so at a certain point you do indeed have to choose to stop fighting (at least the current fight) The only ire I have toward him is in him being caught completely flat-footed by the election fraud; doing fuck all to avoid being drowned by it like so many other Republicans over the years. |

Quoted: It's too late, should have been done during the summer. Swamp isn't going to do it anyway. View Quote It probably was; his declass orders (among other orders) have been slow-rolled by his subordinates for his entire administration. He really should have fired as many people as he possibly could, damn the consequences. It couldn't have been as bad as it turned out in the end. |

Quoted: If there's anything damning to the Democratic Party it will never see the light of day. Trump gets the boot tomorrow and all these executive orders will mean nothing then. He should have fought harder. View Quote He fought harder than anyone has since Teddy; what he lacked was vision and discipline. He was bogged down in minutia and highly reactionary. It's easy to complain, difficult to build; I never got nearly as clear a description from Trump about how he thought the ideal administration should be put together, vs. his description of how our economic regulatory scheme should operate, for example. Probably because Trump had no idea. He just knew that people from offices he never heard of kept stabbing him in the back for four years, and his lawyers told him he was helpless to do anything about it. |

Quoted: He faced more opposition than any president since Lincoln. I appreciate that he tried but when everyone is against you what more can you do? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: i loved the man,but i cannot feel empathy when he just gave up!granted,i know the struggle was real but damn!he is knowingly handing the keys of the nation over to the chinese! He feels betrayed by the country that he gave his heart and soul to make better. The Swamp won. He faced more opposition than any president since Lincoln. I appreciate that he tried but when everyone is against you what more can you do? Despite our rosy image of Lincoln...he ended up simply throwing obstacles in prison, when they got in the way of getting shit done. Ugly times call for ugly men, on occasion. Trump could have absolutely forced some "political" prosecutions, confident in the knowledge they were both objectively deserved and highly likely to produce results. Trump could have systematically attacked the leftist means of production by digging into their corrupt institutions. Instead he avoided these landmines and attempted a defensive strategic posture, hoping that economic success alone would ensure ultimate victory. But when your enemy controls the public perception of reality itself, you can't possibly look good enough to get past that manipulation. You have to break their machinery. |

Quoted: It's a fart in a windstorm. If he wanted to do anything useful, he'd have declassed this months ago. View Quote Sometimes I feel as if he really trusted the systems and the protections in place. Or he and everyone around him completely underestimated the Swamp and like minded communists. I'm generally suspicious and would not have believed even a fraction of the stuff done to undermine Trump could have been pulled off with no repercussions or consequences. |
