I have a TrueNAS box. I'd like to build a small computer of some kind that I can store in the safe that will power up at some point in the night, make a backup of my important NAS files, then power itself down.

Is this feasible? Or would it be better to just use a very low-power computer like a Raspberry Pi and have it spin the HDD down?
