Yes, I was suggesting a natural method to assist with that.

I don't think they'd like to walk in on them boning and the inducing meds are incredibly painful.

I have never heard of a midwife pushing pain meds, but ours are of a traditional mindset - as are we.

I guess you missed my earlier post, the midwife was on board for 3 days but the birth wouldn't progress, she ended up having a c-section.

Second girl in 2 years, wife wants to try for another boy, but I can't afford anymore after this one. We already don't all fit in our Subaru Ascent and I've seen the prices of 12 passenger Transits.

Was the child in danger, or was this more of a scheduling /inconvenience thing?  We never had any complications for the child's health, but neither did we rush things.

My wife stayed home around her due date, and when contractions started, we informed the midwife.  When they started getting closer, we called again and she came out to the house.  If things slowed down, she could go home again until things started again.

You can make it work. Go for a few more!

My wife cut us off at four, that's the most we could fit in a pickup

Wife was exhausted from 3 days of labor and had a balloon inserted, they couldn't dilatation to progress past 5 and the baby was already over a week late at that point.
