I also noticed it took about 2-3 stabs before the guy realized he was in over his head.

That's common. Lots of people who have been stabbed multiple times will stand around afterwards talking about how the other guy punched them really hard in the stomach.

I’m not condoning what the robber did or condemning what the clerk did. I just think it’d be a great psychological impact on you as a rational/sane human to stab someone to death, regardless of the situation.

Can't tell if the guy was trying to attack the clerk or just steal stuff behind the counter? Hope the clerk doesn't get charged but could be in hot water, I say it was self defense as he was out numbered when the confrontation started.

Shooter was recently acquitted, but not after spending significant pre-trial time in jail.

I’m fine with it. My position of “jump the counter at a store and anything goes” stays the same.

But I don’t expect this to go well for the person who did the stabbing.
