People here love to bash NYC, but Philadelphia is a much, much greater shithole than NYC is. Pre-covid that was the case, post covid that is the case times 10.
At least in NYC, before COVID you could walk around in most areas of the city in relative safety. Yeah, there was crime but as long as you were not doing things you shouldn't be doing and not out at hours that you probably shouldn't be out at, you would generally be pretty safe. That really isn't the case for Philadelphia. In that city, you might have an area that spans a few blocks that seems "safe" and thats largely because its either a tourist area, or a wealthier residential area. Outside of those areas you quickly find yourself in the ghetto. Not really the case in NYC...there, most of the more ghetto places are pretty far removed from the areas a normal person would be in. The area around Temple U. is extremely dangerous. I think some of the blocks close to the university have undergone gentrification, but outside those areas its all ghetto and there is no reason for someone who does not belong to be there. |

The crime statistics are the real reason that black people get a bad rap [pardon the pun]. Anyone who pays attention to the local news in any diverse city knows that after a single week of checking the local news website, that it goes like this - murder / robbery / arson / beating / drive by shootings - it's always a black guy. It is extremely rare for it to be otherwise. And it's not a surprise since the FBI crime stats shows that only 6% of the pop is black male yet they do 53% of all murders in the country every year, going back to when they first began keeping track in the 1970s. It's the same reason that the police arrest them more, it's not racism that's a lie, they have to go to where the crime is at and the black males commit murder 9x out of proportion to their numbers along with robbery and other violent crimes.

Philly's DA is a Larry Krasner. In his SJW view of the world black people are unfairly treated in Philadelphia. Josephus Davis should be in jail from his last felony.
