I can confirm there is a large population of good size raccoons in Seattle.  Never been attacked but they're not timid at night

They must not be allowed over the 520 because I never saw one the entire time I lived in Kirkland

Not to derail the thread but, BC Ferries has pretty good Poutine as well.

Gonna try the Angry Beaver, though; the next time I'm down there

Kierland is pretty damn clean compared to Seattle.   They probably have no reason to migrate from the shit hole.   When we do night work you see gangs of them scurrying about

Just wait, that new diversity railway landing in bellevue. When you start to get the tents and piles of half eaten food and trash, the raccoons wont be far behind.

They are around and everywhere…they usually stay  away from us a bit to the north, because they get fed lead; .177 or .22lr variety.

They are certainly all over Issaquah and the foothills.

If you ever find yourself at Stanley Park in Vancouver, BC......hide any food you may have.

Literally, there were roving gangs of trash pandas looking for handouts.

I can believe it.  Seattle can't control its feral humans; it's not going to do any better with its feral wildlife.

I always avoid the city itself when I'm there but I'm sure it's the same in the rest of King County.

I spent many years working out of Bremerton. I loved it there. Cool sailor bars, good people and great food.
Put my family in a suite downtown on my last spat there. $2500 a week for them to stay a few months. Absolutely had a blast riding the ferry, drinking beer and coming home to one of the best views Seattle has to offer. I did inspections on outgoing naval vessels. Cool atmosphere

Well raccoons tried to get in our back porch, Momma just chase 'em off with a broom!

Also lived in Bremerton and had a family of raccoons that would storm the roof of our house.   We used a mint plant to keep them away.

It's Seattle, any "beaver" has neon hair and hasn't seen their beaver in years.

Grew up in Lynnwood and Shoreline and saw them regularly, although you can limit you contact by keep img your doors closed, especially doggy doors and not leaving food out for your pets.

I thought Seattle had a lot until I visited Toronto. Holy cow.
