Of late I have been reading on Post-Colonial Wars in Africa.

When you get into Portuguese Africa or French Africa it is my impression that there isn't much out there in English.

Looking for suggestions about the Kolwezi Raid/Battle of Kolwezi. Also suggestions about Angola and Mozambique and the wars involving the Portuguese.

That's a tough one. Most stuff I've read about the Portuguese in Angola was second-hand: usually anecdotal stuff from authors of various SADF/32 Battalion books. But even then I'd have to dig through my notes to find anything of significance, really.

As for the French... I have nothing except for Bernard Fall who merely referenced his countrymen's debacle in Algeria in very small bits whenever he contrasted the Indochina war.

I found a book on Amazon entitled "Counterinsurgency in Africa: The Portuguese Way of War, 1961-1974" print version is in the neighborhood of $250.00, but is available as an ebook. Downloaded and started reading today.
