[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone up for diving Millbrook Quarry, Manassas VA, on 8/17 or 8/18

(Apologies for cross-posting from VA HTF).

I picked up some new gear, and wanted to do a check-out dive with it there, and need a buddy. I hear there is a school bus in there, and while water clarity is hit-or-miss it's generally okay.

Have you considered Lake Phoenix in Rawlings VA? Vis is far superior

Yes, but this was an equipment checkout. I'd hate to drive the distance and have some of the gear carp out.

As it was, everything worked as designed, unlike beat-up rental gear. Now I know how much weight I need, how much air can go through a working BCD dump valve for real

, and observers were much entertained.
