Yes it was!
Surely I'm not the only one who's disappointed when an episode ends. They run 45 minutes to an hour each and every time I'm left thinking "no!!! Don't stop so soon!" Each episode could be an hour and a half or so and l would mind. |

The character development in this series is exceptional, and last night put that on display front and center. |

Nobody watched it tonight?
As #shutDallasup said in the entro there is no big miracle scene in this episode but it was still a good one. When Simon Peter asked Jesus to teach them how to pray like he does and he starts the Lord's Prayer was really moving. Seeing the holymen standing on the street corners praying really brought that verse home. I'd always kind of envisioned it as the street preacher scene in The Life of Brian but this really made the light bulb go off, "so THAT'S what it looked like! They really did that?!" Well of course they did or we would not have been admonished not to pay like that. Good episode that ended way too soon. As usual. |

One of those guys is going to be the one with a sick servant that Jesus heals. The angle of “stop talking about Jesus!” is interesting. |

a bit off the gospel script for this episode. When was Christ ever detained by the Romans prior to his Crucifixion?

By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. 29 So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?” 33 Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” |

no, my question was about any reference to his arrest BEfore the arrest of his crucifixion, such as was depicted in this most recent episode. surely you're not suggesting that they were trying to portray Jesus before Pilate (in Jerusalem) in this last episode, are you? They are up in Capernaum right now, as I understand it, just at the beginning of His ministry.

Seems to me one of the writers found a nice, subtle, little gap to fill. One that none of the disciples would likely have had access to.

my educated guess is that the feeding of the 5000 is the next big event. the events of John 7 are a ways off yet, I think. Jesus has yet to go to Jerusalem, and that is where the Feast is held

John 11 has another subtle clue about the thoughts and motives of the “religious leadership” and their collaboration with Rome. |

I loved how it connected each of his followers with one of them, and how He said that these are the groups of people to search for if we are looking for Him. And when He looked at Matthew when He spoke the final words, it was like He was speaking to all of us in these times where persecution is becoming more and more likely.

Per a recent update from Dallas Jenkins, they are currently writing Season 3 and trying to get production started, but it’s slow-going with material shortages and other issues. He’s asking for prayers for himself and the rest of the crew.
Also, Season 3 isn’t completely funded yet, so it doesn’t hurt to throw a bit of cash their way. Remember, crowdfunding it keeps Hollywood’s claws out of the show. |
