If so, are they usually sturdy and reliable shotguns?
I've got a NIB 12 gauge Upland model that I bought from a friend to help them out, but have never shot.
Was going to just sell is as I really don't shoot shotguns that much, but seeing as how the most available ammo is 12 gauge birdshot right now, I'm probably going to shoot it.

I’ve had one for about 15 years. It’s killed a bunch of ducks and turkeys. It’s a tank.

I've shot one for 20 years.
thousands of ducks and geese have died with it.

if it can last hunting 50-60 days a year waterfowling- its GTG.
rock solid and the only time its been to a smith was to have the stock custom fitted.

Upland Special 20 ga. w/22" barrel is a nice light field gun with pretty blueing. Excellent for lefties with bottom eject.

I've had one for 15 years.  Thousands of shells and it's never malfed.  I just bought 2 new barrels for it that I am having cut down so I can  put a SALVO 12 on it without it being too long.

Find someplace local that does skeet.  It's fun.

One of the best pumps ever made. Bottom ejection is cool and the bolt release and safety are in the perfect spot.

I have two.  A twelve and twenty.  I have had the 20 for about 30 years and had to replace the shell latches due to wear, but this gun has been shot a lot.

Both have been very good shotguns and I like that my left handed son can shoot either since they eject out the bottom of the receiver.   This is also nice in a duck blind as it doesn't throw empties at your buddies.

I shoot ducks out of a kayak.  I like that the land in my lap instead of the river.

I had one. Too pretty for a working gun. It was really well made, but I was afraid to scratch it up so it went down the line. I really regret selling that gun however so I would say keep it.

Great gun! I had a 10 gauge.

I wish youtube existed when I took it apart to clean!

I had one until I borrowed it to a friend and he lost it.
By lost I mean he sold it for enough cash to drive across the state of ND to party with a married woman for a weekend.

.410 only.

A local shop took in a guy’s collection, 10, 12, 20, 28, and the .410.   IIrc the 10 already sold, the 12 looked like it had been shot once or twice, the 20 and 28 got some field use.  The .410 still had the factory stickers and tags on it.

I do need to shorten the stock, Browning and Winchester make stocks for people with ape arms.  I sought out just buying the youth stock but the old version is gone and the new multi set up youth one is ugly and half the price I paid for the gun.  Going to get masking tape and a hand saw treatment then fit a new slim pad. Maybe re use the oem one, we’ll see.

Had one for awhile. Very reliable but too light for the shotgun games. Really wish I’d kept it.  Synthetic stock and parked action. Smooth as hell.

I have two of them. Both in camo. Shot a ton of birds with both and very happy with them. I am a southpaw so tang safety and bottom eject are great.

Used a 12ga with a factory 32 inch barrel to win thousands of dollars and a truckload of meat at the Lucky X shoots.
Best factory gun I ever used for those games including custom cheated up M12s and 870s.

Pros are as mentioned. It's a well made tank, and I like it well enough that I haven't sold it yet.

The bottom eject action does have a negative:  There's no way to quickly toss a shell into the chamber of an empty gun and close it.

Tang safety should be on every shotgun. I really hate the safety on the back of the trigger guard. My benelli's are OK with the huge safety, I can take it off safe just by straightening my finger.

I have a 20 gauge with 28” barrel that has killed many quail over the years.  It is an absolutely beautifully built and strong shotgun that I take to the clays course several times a year as well.  For the price, the craftsmanship is second to none.

Mine's a MODB 12 gauge I bought to duck hunt in a swamp where the odds of losing a gun were high (hunting from a canoe).

I bought a spare barrel and had it cut down to min legal. Out of duck season it has the short barrel with a light-pipe, Surefire and a sidesaddle with six shells. With the plug out, it carries one in the chamber and four in the pipe...so eleven rounds of buck/ball total. We're way out in the country, so it lives next to my bed.

It's a freakin' machine. Never malf'd through thousands of rounds (and I rarely tear it down, it is a PITA to put back together - not Ruger level PITA, but you will be glad those YouTube tutorials are out there), but if it did I'd have no reservation about swinging it like a bat.

Best all around pump built, IMO. Miroku rules!

Have one in 10 gauge.

I have caught more birds with it than a 12 gauge.

Thing just runs and runs.

For the most part the only thing negative anybody has to say about a BPS is it is heavy as compared to 870s and Mossy 500s.
Outside of that is is pretty close to the pinnacle of pump guns.

I have one in 10 gauge. The action almost feels like it's on ball bearings. Very smooth shooter.

Being a 10 gauge, it weighs a ton.I hate carrying it. I do want one in 20 gauge for pheasant hunting thougb.

It’s waterfowl years took a toll. Would like to get it reblued.

One of the better pump guns out there. Mine is old as hell and had the 30" fixed full barrel cut down to 28" and threaded for chokes.

I don't ever shoot it anymore because I have much better options.
