I generally use one of these
3n1 Caulk Tool and I use a Stainless Steel Glazers Bar, Utility Knife or Razor Blades for the finishing touches. |

I got it out of the joint now its just a matter of cleaning it up. I'm going to experiment with a dremel and a felt polishing wheel to get it off of the tub.

I've stripped & caulked hundreds of tubs in hotels. We used a metal handi knife followed by a single edged razor blade for the smoothing-out part.
