As a rule I am not invited to Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.

My wife has it with her family and their families and my adult children.

KFC or turkey TV dinner is my norm.

Don't eat KFC or a TV dinner for Thanksgiving. You can at least get a turkey dinner at Golden Corral for about 11 dollars. Why are you not invited every year?

My extended family on Mom’s side are pretty moderate, but even they are staunch Covidians. My mom called me to ask if I would be wearing a mask or getting tested for visiting my aunt’s on Thanksgiving. I asked why since they’re all vaccinated? Crickets. Said I won’t bother with that stupidity and I’ll spend it with my Dad’s side for the 2nd year in a row since they’re all conservative.

I’ve spent every Thanksgiving and Christmas around moms side since I was a little kid (so 30+ years). Really starting to grow apart from them over this stupidity. Even my mom has a terrible case of orange man bad and is absolutely terrified of the Rona.

If you you didn't do something to get a permaban, but you would like to go otherwise, why are your wife and kids there? If my family treated my wife like that or hers treated me like that, none of us would be there. Something's not adding up.

Last year at Thanksgiving I overheard my bil talking mad shit to his mildly demented FIL and when I confronted him he told me if I didn't like it I could get the hell out. I did and my wife and kids were close behind. He called me later in the evening and I hung up on his ass. I have not had to fix one thing at that liberal fucks house all year. Feels great.

WTF is wrong with people? I am a highly opinionated man with strong convictions, and yet I manage to host all the holidays with 20-30 people of all political persuasions without incident.

Politics isn't everything.

Plus, I usually get the libs to shoot guns in my backyard range after a few drinks (I know, fuck you). They love it. I've converted more than a few.

There is absolutely NO WAY my
wife, and kids would be eating ANYWHERE but our home on the holidays. If we had in law issues, we would stay home and cook for ourselves.

But my uncle and his wife aren't coming since my wife, kids, and myself aren't vaxed.

Funny thing is they didn't mind when their ac drain was clogged and leaking all over the place.
After getting done fixing his ac at no charge he asked me if I knew where to get some 12 gauge sluggers because he couldn't find any.

And when I came back and dropped off 30 rounds of sluggers for him free of charge a few days later.
They didn't care then either
