Not me - not really a fan of those (like the Universe better). For the price I would go Schecter Custom shop instead or Skervesen and get something exactly how I want it.

Plus I Have a fantastic RG550 and this wouldn't really give me anything new.

Vai is an AMAZING musician, no doubt about it. That being said, he as THE WORST taste in guitar aesthetics. Don't mind the Ibanez body shapes but design & artwork/color schemes are atrocious. JMHO.

This.. for me...but for your wife though its a really cool way to get her a JEM type guitar that has wifey eye appeal. Last striking Ibanez I liked was those orange RG560s from the 80's.

Thats the first year RG catalog. I bought my 1987 RG550 that year. Still have it.

I tried to find a balance that both of us could play but she liked it and loves Vai so I can’t fault her. Besides, I play bass so it would not really be one that I’d mess with.

Negative. I like my tremolos decked, or non-recessed. I would look towards the Russ Parrish (Satchel) signature models, or EVH Floyd Rose models.
