At my daughters this week I noticed that food sticks to the smaller skillet.  Even though she's been careful the surface is scratched and lost the copper color.  Even some of the lesser used cook ware is getting scratched.  I know some will say shes cleaning wrong but when you follow the instructions well then something is wrong with the product.

My wife has some older Kitchen Fare(?) cookware that is still non stick after years of use.  My other daughter received a set for her wedding and I told her to return it for something else.  Her husband cooks a lot and this will save them grief down the he road.

I got a mind to buy her a skillet at Walmart, I'm even tempted to buy her one of those TV copper or granite skillets.  Anyways just venting on this experienced I'm sure other have had better experience.

Costco and Sams have decent non-stick skillets. Wally and Target sell very thin crap.

Restaurant supply stores are another good place to buy.

I'm strictly a Calphalon fan.  All my nonsticks are Calphalon brand.
ETA:  Hand wash only, and only use heat resistant scrapers on them and non-scratch turners.  Keep them out of the dishwasher.
