Quoted: I needed some trap loads and was walking by the empty ammo shelves in Walmart and saw these sitting on the side. The girl told me she just put them out. Great, well now they are all gone. 22.76 a box of 100. Not a horrible price these days. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/105442/trap_loads_jpg-1778951.JPG View Quote I just found 5 of them. It sucks paying .40cpr for 7.62x54R, but at least it's plentiful. And thats with idiots trying to push it to $1pr. Average is around .55cpr. |

Cabelas had a “restock” today. Obscure rifle rounds, some 17 HMR and some $54 per 5 turkey loads in 12 gauge.

Quoted: I was just wondering about the yearly production rates and where those numbers are today There are plenty of raw resources for component/ammunition production. Every month ammo production produces a consistent number, is there a graph for 2020? View Quote Wrong and Wrong. Three shifts, primer shortage, and record production levels. Federal's website had a bunch of random stuff come in stock this morning. Some decent deals, some way out there. Interesting to see the big gap there.

Everything is sold out here now. We had ammo on shelves until the past week or two. Everything is gone now. People are paying crazy prices for everything too.
I might sell my factory 9mm FMJ stuff. I have enough to reload a ton. |

Quoted: Very few people are selling good OFB right now. I would place an order with Starline and wait it out. Their brass is outstanding. View Quote I was thinking of trading some in at an LGS. I think the way things are, it would be reasonable to allow the buyer to make 20 points on the resale. I have raw, and prepped. The 308/6.5 cm prepped is neck sized/fire formed for my sticks, so I guess I would call it raw anyway. |

Quoted: And for at least the foreseeable future, that mantra has been replaced with "buy extremely high and in quantities so low it isn't even deserving of being described as a stack". For the people who didn't lay back some ammo before the current crisis (because they were complacent or maybe just broke), they probably aren't going to be doing much shooting in the next year. Any ammo being found/bought will be in smaller quantities for all but the wealthy. And it will be reserved for serious purposes, not for plinking or general blasting. I just quit my part time job at a large gun store. Too much pressure - people standing in line outside in the cold then having to wait to get to a sales rep then have to pay the prices plus limits on what's there don't make the best customers to deal with. They are scared. Its really sad to see. Prices be damned. They aren't leaving without something that shoots and even if its 25 rounds for $40 they'll buy it. Not going to get any better.
