If the age range is anything like my local lodge it’s probably the best thing to do. Older folks are the most susceptible to this as i understand it...

we won’t be visiting my FIL at the retirement home for awhile, wife is not happy about that.

Our GM has also suspended all Masonic events and meetings until further notice. We have 27 cases in the state.

We in Iowa are getting emails from our GL.  Good information and well thought out plans.

It appears Iowa lodges are going dark. As the treasure of our lodge I will keep the bills paid and communicate with our officers via email or USPO mail. Most of our members do not do Internet anything.

Stay safe, support your Brothers as you can

Have not seen anything here but based on the average age of my lodge it is a great idea.

The MWGM just canceled our in-person Annual Communication. It’s going the be set-up via WedEx and they’re putting together an online voting app.

Im pretty sure were going dark as well.  They cancelled our last scheduled 2nd degree.  Our lodge has about 6 EA's, including myself about ready to go through.  We were pretty much told it would be a while, just stay fresh on stuff.

From what Ive seen of our lodge, definately a good idea due to age.

Another side effect of all this is not being able to conduct Masonic Memorials. This past week we’ve lost a Past Grand Commander, a Past Most Illustrious Grand Master and dozens of Brothers. We plan to conduct these whenever the madness wains.
