Who else is a fan?
I used to love Legos as a kid. I could sit down with a bin and build/play for hours and hours. I recently bought some new sets for the first time in decades. It's amazing what they have available now! My wife is the huge Harry Potter fan, I just love the building/project We've had a ton of fun working on them together. I've got some coming now that are on my list. Attached File Attached File I've got all my old Legos in my parents attic somewhere. I'll have to take a look sometime. Apparently some of those old sets are worth some big money, even opened and played with. |

I collect. Money, and space become limiting factors. I hope to one day have a Lego room in my house. Check out Brickset for news and tracking your collection. Bricklink is an excellent source for parts and old sets. |

Quoted: Yea. I'm not exactly sure where all of this is going to go. That Hogwarts castle is going to be huge. But a lot of these are nice enough to actually put on display so I don't think I want it all in some separate room or basement or something. I'm thinking about getting a light kit for it too. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2138/8145/products/71043-LEGO-Hogwarts-Castle-Front-Clean-Light-My-Bricks_1000x.jpg?v=1599718034 View Quote We have the other hogwarts castle (that is the individual sets) and we put light kits in them. I just finished up the Saturn V for myself. Hoping to pick up the space shuttle and ISS. To complete the space sets I want. I also have the lunar lander I haven't built it yet though.
Attached File I'm still not sure how I want to display the rocket. I kind of like the wall mounts that split up the stages, but it's impressive just standing there, I love the scale of it standing against the nanofigures. Or where everything is going to go, because it probably won't all stay there |

I love the Saturn V. I don't care for the other stuff too much, but the Saturn V is amazing.

But yea they definitely look like weaker builds. View Quote |

ATF is attempting to make Legos illegal:

It's 5 standard (32x32) baseplates tall by 4 1/2 baseplates wide, or 160 studs by 144 studs. That works out to be about 1 stud per 2.5 miles. The colors correspond to the general ecosystem of the area, city, desert, forest, or grassland and the entire thing is topographic from 1 to 6 plates high. |

I'm not even a Thor fan, though I've seen all the movies. I just think it's really cool. I've definitely gone for sets now that I think have good display ability. Not too interested in playing with LEGOs at this point. And I think the hammer would display well. That along with the infinity gauntlet. But still not sure if I'm a big enough fan to justify it. My wife still wants the guardians of the galaxy ship. And I still want the home alone house for holiday display. |

My kids have a lot of legos, and my wife has had several sets for herself (mostly halloween sets). I held off and didn't get any for myself until the 911 RSR.
Then I had to have the 488 GTE. Then the Lamborghini Sian. Then, fuck it, might as well get the AT-AT too. |
|
I used to have 3 5gal buckets full of Legos. Wish I still had em. Had a whole stack of citystreet plates. Bunch of technic sets and a few of the technic stick figure guys which go for stupid $ now lol.
I might have to use that brick builder to attempt to make a motorcycle. Use the new BMW rr set as a base. It looks awesome. |

Just built the small set and now working on this beast. Attached File
