ATF kicking back all SilencerShop filed form 1’s, due to the fact that a second larty cannot file them on your behalf.

I didn’t even know Silencer Shop offered this but it makes sense they would be denied.

Did they ask the ATF about this before submitting forms for people? It’s hard to believe they wouldn’t have gotten the ok for this before going through with it.

They offered it as a service for some time. Then ATF gave them crap so they stopped. This was a trial re-boot I believe.

While the process shouldn't be necessary, I can understand in this case legal issues with a third party handling the filing of what is essentially a tax document en masse.

It is also a very easy document to file on your own, although the ATF efile website looks and acts like it was made by Indian H1Bs with brain damage.

I can understand complications arising if a form has to be amended or corrected and they bounce back to SS first.

But anyway, fatf.

Why are form 1s going through silencer shop? Isn't the form one for the manufacturer of the firearm?

It's been so long since I form 1'd a SBR, iirc, form 4 for cans.

The hoops we have to jump through are beyond retarded, especially for cans, which aren't even guns/weapons.

Is this the form used to build your own suppressor with a solvent trap kit? If so and it's only a month then I may spend some money.

I only have some suppressor's through a trust that took around 9 months. That was a few years ago.

I have an 40+ stamp collection and I want to keep it in one trust.

Not getting my wife to go get finger printed for an SBR is totally worth going with SS.

It's so simple to do an E-form 1, I just don't understand why you would deal with a 3rd party.....

It'll be fun when their system gets compromised / hacked ..... names, addresses, photos, dob, ssn, digital prints, Credit card info, etc........

I did my form 1 SBRs this way through Capitol Armory and it was 3 weeks too.

I needed engraving anyway and they have my prints on file so it made the process easy as hell, as close to buying a regular gun as possible.

I can understand that sentiment as it is prevalent, but consider this.

If the system were buried in Form 1 builds, eventually certain restrictions become meaningless and more likely to go away under mass democratic weight. Kind of like how lefty dopers are succeeding with weed.

That $200 protection money while humiliating is much better spent on helping to create a growing data tracking problem and common-use statistics than buying Wayne LaPierre a new suit or buying the next bumpfuckstock or pistol brace that can get hand-waved away with a change in administration and a cut-and-paste into the regulations.

Given choices, do both if you have the resources.

eFile on the fBATFE website, roll your own prints with free cards from the fBATFE and ink from Amazon, and picture done with a passport app on your phone. Don't even have to get dressed.

Of course, the entire NFA is unconstitutional, also.
