I've been asked a number of times in the IMs why I would do something like this. Here's why.
We've all been in a position where 10 bucks could be the difference between eating or starving in a day. Back when I was trying to find my way in the world, I needed a little help, and it came my way by a generous cop. If it wasn't for him, I don't know where I would be today..., possible dead. Because of what he did for me (I won't go into the details here), I feel like I have a debt to society to pay, and I do it by "random acts of kindness" throughout the day, along with other charitable giving and volunteerism throughout the year. If I'm out eating at a diner, I'll pick up the tab for another table, anonymously. If I'm in a drive through, I often pick up the tab for a couple cars behind me. Etc. Just stuff like that to brighten someone's day. Yesterday, I thought "aha, I can do some random acts of kindness to help out some fellow gun owners, which in turn, helps us all out by getting more members into our cause". That's it, really. Because of the random act of kindness shown by a cop 20 years ago, I'm now in a position to pay it forward. |

back in 2013 I signed up myself, my girlfriend, both my kids and two friends. Ill probably do it again in april when I have some extra money to spend. my spare cash for march will be used to renew my arfcom membership.

Folks, I realize having different instructions for mine & OP's tranches is confusing, but since other ARFCOMers are able to follow the rules, you have to as well. If you don't IM the requisite information, or you don't quote the right post, someone else will take your spot.
