If you look real close & pay attention, you can tell that it's voice dubbed. The actors aren't really speaking English.

It really should be in Russian and subtitled. The subtitled Das Boot is better than the dubbed version.

My wife grew up in Izhevsk, where he lived as well. She met him on many occasions as a child. As a big local celebrity they'd get him to attend events, be a judge in contests, etc. There's not many celebrities I'd care to meet, but I'm pretty jealous of her meeting him.

If you look at the AK, you'll see he was influenced by the: Browning A-5. Safety came right off of Browning's Rem 8 autoloader rifle. John Moses left his fingerprints all over Kalashnikov's design.
