Missed it but I’m not even mad. I’m just happy it’s being made.
We’re all gonna make it fellas. |

Well shit I got the notice checked in the afternoon and it was all gone!
|
|
[#4]
I also received no email.
Also was a little disappointed that it LOOKS like it came in at 60cpr instead of their target of 50cpr. Still a little cheaper than AE I guess (66cpr), so there’s that. |

I recived the email, just saw it
I thought it was still being tested? Maybe next batch |

Did PSA ever post velocities on this stuff? I’m hoping it’s spicier than the Federal and 197 stuff.

I got an email saying the 40gr vmax was in stock at 8:27a. I found the email at 8:39a and checked availability. Stuff was OOS already. Are they using gold casings and including blow jobs with every order?

I'm sure it's the same as their 9mm, they will come in at slightly below market price and slowly drop down.

Well, I finally got my in-stock notice email at 7am this morning. Missed the ruckus over the last 2 days I guess.

FYI - AAC 5.7 v-max is back in stock right now. I just ordered 3 boxes about 5 min ago.

I’m mostly interested in the FMJ, but I wouldn’t mind grabbing some V-Max either. |

They just put 5 boxes up a few min ago. You just have to check in every few hours and some seems to be showing up at random times each day. Hope the FMJs are available soon as well.

I just got my order in for a few boxes of the vmax stuff. 68 cents a round after shipping and tax. Thats about what other places are changing for the red box american eagle FMJs.

From what I can tell they put more than 50 boxes up today and they all sold in an hour or two from the time I noticed. Production may be ramping up a bit...(just a hunch)

I managed to grab a few boxes of the Vmax today, even though what I really wanted was the FMJ.
Still haven't received any 'in stock' emails |

Where’s the Buffman info? Presume he’d have ninja’d into the AAC facility and snuck out with a few boxes.

I have a chronograph for my reloading. When these come in, I can try to get some numbers. I've got a SBR'd PS90 and a 8" CMMG RDB upper.

2 questions…
1. Are we all hoping for full metal jacket for penetration and self defense or what? 2. Has anyone put a chrono in this yet? |

I noticed that the daily special flag on the v-max changed today to make it part of the "Valentines day" sale. Ohhh does that mean it will be a little cheaper for a week?? Kinda doubt it but one can wish...

As I hit send on my last post, the doorbell rang and my first order of AAC 5.7 arrived. I opened the box to check it out. All of the rounds are inserted in the box point down which I thought was odd/different. I don't guess it matters since you can turn the box whatever direction you want if you were stacking them. Primers are silver and the cases are dark silver in color with a smoky looking coating on them. I noticed the top and inside walls of the box has quite a bit of black smear where some of the coating rubbed off on the box. Pulled one out and it feels sticky and oily, I mean noticeably sticky and oily (like thick oil - think "slick 50" if you are familiar with that old oil additive. I rolled the case around between my fingers and now my fingers are oily and a tad bit sticky, but it seems to go away, dries or just wears off after a few seconds. Very odd. Wondering if anyone else has received theirs, what their thoughts are on the coating. I am a bit concerned that it might leave an oily, or worse, a sticky residue in my rifle, and in the magazines.

I almost wonder what age will do to the coating. Will it dry up, will it get tacky and make it difficult to load/chamber? I guess the only way to know is let a box sit for 5 or 10 years, but I wouldn't want to have $1000+ of this ammo sitting around only to find that it is ruined years down the road when we actually need it. I guess it is best to rotate though this stuff every few years just in case.

I'm sure it will be just as successful as PSA's 5.45x39...oh wait..

Liquid lubed metallic cartridges?
Is this 2023 or 1923? Hope that is not how this ammo is supposed to be. |
