I highly recommend A Gift of Hope: Finding Faith Behind Barbed Wire: The True Story of a World War II Prisoner of War by John Hornbeck. It is about his father-in-law who was a B-17 waist gunner in WWII and POW for 14 months. One of the best books I have seen about POWs in WWII.
