I have a Black Walnut tree in my backyard and so do other neighbors.
Squirrels are all over the place, finding walnuts everywhere.
Never felt like eating one.
I did have bbq monkey in the Phillipines, I was drunk.

Either you've got a calcium deficiency or this wicker is made of concrete.

You deserve what you got for wearing flops.

I found a walnut still in its husk on top of my grill this weekend. I have no trees in the back yard and no one near me has a walnut tree.

Bird drop it?

Kinda related, there was an animal bone on the flight line today. Acres of concrete and there in the middle, an animal bone about 5” long.

That's the only thing I could think of, but we don't have many birds around here and they're usually small sparrows.

Yeah, our squirrels eat power lines around here.

In fact we were visiting with the neighbors just this last weekend talking about just that and he commented that the squirrels have now taken to chewing bulbs off their garden lights. Let the bulbs fall and shatter all over the patio.

Any animal that can do that and live, pass.

Would smash. I haven't eaten squirrel more than a couple of times, mostly because they aren't legal to hunt here.  I'd definitely put them on the menu if we could though.

I imagine the flavor could be pretty different depending on what they've been eating though.

Breaking in the stove - Storz was right about these. It will be a game changer for me as my wife has a huge reaction to wood smoke (and just about everything else really) upsetting her asthma. To the point that I went ahead and broke my fire pit down and let it return to grass a few years back and basically gave up the idea of having a fire in the yard ever again. With this she was able to walk right up to it and hang out. Used a lot less wood than I thought it would (small sized one), no tending at all (everything in there burns all the way), good amount of heat, and a really cool flame pattern with the vent holes at the top looking like jets.

Bummer, that sucks!

I'd ask about the laundry, but it isn't OP....

How about the freezer? True story, my wife lost a watch my mom gave her for at least a couple of years. Just a Seiko but she really liked the size etc. and wore it every day prior. Finally found it in the back of the fridge where it had apparently fallen off.
