I used to have to pause it so her could go find his Izula or Sebenza so he can't fidget with it during the show.

I disagree. Dr Death is probably my least favorite Shiro.

It doesn't look Shiro enough. It's like a boot knife that is broken in the middle.

G10 or Micarta, no CF. No glow. Remember the 0620 and 0630? Yeah, do that again

That will sell.

Hey Spyderco, make some interesting micarta versions of your best sellers. Use an interesting steel. How about some two tone G10 with textures.
Forget S30V exists.

Hey Kershaw... Y'all are truck stop knives now. Back up and punt. Fire all your designers.

Hey Benchmade... Fuck off...

I like this idea.

ZT needs to realize their in house team isn't great. They need to call some of their old friends and get some solid designs out.

Kershaw needs to do the same thing.

Spyderco needs to cut down on the non sexy options and focus on what make dorks tick.  Vanax everything.

CRK needs to bump up the V's as the standard steel.

Keep us posted!

(I'm supposed to encourage you to buy known steel from the get go.  It really isn't expensive.  Similar in price to the mild steel at HD, iirc.  And don't forget to get some good ceramic belts for the grinder)

I made some tuna salad to bring to work today. It was yellowfin in olive oil. From a can, not a pouch so no knife necessary for the preparation.

I've seen that one. Zooey Dashenal played a rather lackluster role.

I don't think that was a documentary...

Just not sure on this one. I like it. Lot to like about it. But I could also resell for more than I paid and it isn't doing anything my A100 doesn't do for me.

But it looks good and feels good.

What do, what do.

Another conundrum.

Bought a CPK Utility Fighter (UF). Did not have the scales I wanted but don't see them pop up often and price was right and scales were natural canvas micarta in a state between buffed and unbuffed. I wanted ODG unbuffed, but figured I would give them a go and buy some ODG unbuffed from CPK if needed.

I thought I heard they were discontinuing the UF but also thought I heard they were discontinuing because they were doing a double edged variation, suggesting to me they would use the same scales.

Apparently not so.

I reached out to CPK for new ODG unbuffed scales and Jo said they will not be doing anymore and gave me a list of the ones they still have for sale. On the one hand I am tempted to try unbuffing the scales I have with a wire bristle brush and just leave it (can you unbuff micarta? you can't untoast toast) but I am also thinking it might be a good idea to have another set of scales anyways.

I've determined I tend to prefer the canvas over the linen, so those are out. Couple sounded interesting though. Want micarta, so G10 is out. Double red sounds kinda intense, looks kinda blah in the pic. The burlap ones look kinda cool, not sure how they wear in.  That leaves natural canvas which I already have. Why not just wire brush what I have.
