If it's pex your on easy street. If you're running copper pipes, not so easy. BUT. Sweating copper and soldering it shut really isn't difficult. Practice on a couple of scrap joints and your good too go.

You won't get kidney stones from hard water They're mostly calcium oxalate and uric acid, with (rarely) struvite and cystine. You're more likely to get stones from rhubarb and spinach. Spinach is almost zero nutritional use. It's got all the nutrients in it, but it also has a raft of chemicals that inhibit the absorption of those nutrients by the body. If you like the taste, fine, but it's not superhealthy. Especially raw spinach. Like if your green smoothie has raw spinach in it, it pretty much cancels out whatever else is in it. |

You should be ok, beer is a stone inhibitor, if you stay hydrated. The #1 risk factor after genetic predisposition is chronic low hydration, resulting in a high urine salts concentration. Your urine should average a pale sun-bleached straw yellow color most of the time. If it averages much darker, it's a sign of higher urine salts and increased risk of precipitation. Once the first seed crystal forms, it will tend to crystallize more, just like growing alum or salt crystals.
