Just dropping in to root you guys on. The numbers are looking great. I'm officially jealous.

Well, I guess I'm here to whine a little, too.

On my front, I had tapered off to walking 3-4 miles, 4-5 times a week. Last Thursday, I finally got in to see a podiatrist after a 2 month wait. He said that I definitely have an Achille's injury and put me in a boot. No bone spurs on the xray. Visible swelling/thickening on the back of the heel. The earliest I can get an ultrasound was 3 wks out and to be back to see him the 4th week. Course of treatment is still TBD, beyond the immediate immobilization and some moderate stretching to keep it from getting tight. Yeah, I'm a little crankly, but I know that I need to get it healed.

I guess I'll be figuring out other methods to get cardio. My wife claims that Google said you can swim in a boot, so I plan to start doing laps at the local YMCA. Probably stationary bike and rowing, too. Definitely going to lift more, too.

Hope you all stay healthy and keep knocking out the miles.

I hate to hear that, man. Definitely get in top of whatever the doc recommends for that Achilles.

Ran a 20 Sunday while in Wichita for my oldest's soccer tournament (they won!), which was the first time I've ever run that far continuously outside of a race.
Also, Wichita is FLAT.

I'll be in physical therapy a little while,  but hopefully my k ee is on the road to recovery.  I had a partial medial meniscus tear repaired yesterday. I can't wait to get back up and running

102 miles for the week, my highest ever. All I have to do is survive another 5 weeks of training before I get to taper for my goal race!

every mile feels like a slog lately. Usually fall is when I start feeling really good out there.
